Flounder Fishing Tournament on Saturday, June 21, 2008
To Benefit The Carousel Center
Wilmington , North Carolina – A fishing tournament benefiting children who have been victims of abuse will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008. Flounder will be the “catch of the day” with the largest fish capturing a $1,000 first prize; second prize is $500, third prize is $250, fourth prize is $100 and fifth prize is $50.
Anglers must turn in completed registration forms and their entry fee of $30.00 no later than the tournament’s Captains’ Meeting, held at Inlet Watch Yacht Club, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, Friday, June 20 2008. The Carousel Center is a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization that is committed to providing services to victims of child abuse. The Center began operations in January, 2000, and serves children from Bladen, Brunswick , Columbus, Duplin, New Hanover, Onslow, Pender and Robeson counties. Here, children find a child-friendly environment where medical forensic exams, counseling, art and play therapies are provided. The Carousel Center is an associate member of The National Children's Alliance .
