 OFFICIAL RULES

DATES FOR TOURNAMENT:  Registration Friday, June 20, 2008 4-7 PM.  Fishing Saturday, June 21,   2008 Fishing will be from 6 AM to 4 PM.

ENTRY FEE: $30.00 donation to The Carousel Center Fishing Tournament per angler. 

REGISTRATION:  Completed registration forms need to be turned in on Friday, June 20, 2008.  The registration will be held at Inlet Watch Marina & Tex’s Tackle, from 4 PM to 7 PM.  Entry fees need to be paid in cash or check made out to The Carousel Center. 

WEIGH IN:  To be eligible for cash prizes, each fish must be entered for weigh-in at the official weigh station at Inlet Watch Marina in the presence of the angler who caught the fish.  Fish can be brought to the weigh stations by either boat or vehicle.  We would like to encourage you to bring your fish by vehicle because of limited boat parking.

ELIGIBLE FISH:  Flounder is the only eligible species of fish for cash prizes.   All fish presented for weigh-in must be in fresh edible condition and caught on the day of the tournament.  No mutilated or gutted fish will be accepted.  All fish must be brought into boat by net, any fish with gaff or gig holes will not be eligible for prizes.

REFUNDS:  No refunds will be given after 8am on 6/21/08.

WEATHER CONDITIONS:  In the event of unsafe weather conditions, the tournament committee may postpone the tournament.  Boat captains are ultimately responsible for their equipment and crew and should make the final decision as to safe sea conditions. Rain date will be determined by Tournament Committee.

TIES:  In the event of a tie in weight, the winner will be determined by the earliest weigh-in time.

PRIZES:  Each angler is eligible to win only one cash prize.

SCORING:  Only one entry per angler.  The tournament winners will be the anglers who catch the heaviest Flounder during the  day of fishing.   All fish must be within the slot limit set by the State of North Carolina to be eligible.

LINE CLASS:  Line class is unlimited.

THE TOURNAMENT COMMITTEE MAY AMEND THE RULES AS NEEDED.
